The state-wide ‘Sakal – Drawing Competition – 2024’, which has been organized since 1985 by the ‘Sakal Medium Group’ for the school students of Maharashtra, state will be held this year on Sunday (January 21). ‘Sakal – Painting Competition’ is widely known as a competition which is organized simultaneously in the entire state on the same day. This competition has been held continuously for the last 38 years and this year is the 39th year of the competition. This competition was conducted online even during Corona.

So far, crores of students have participated in this competition, and the significant participation in the competition organized in 2018 has been recorded by the globally certified organizations ‘Asia Book of Records’ and ‘India Book of Records’. The competition was started so that children could express their thoughts freely and artistically. Every year lakhs of school students are participating in this competition.

There is no age limit for participation in the competition. The competition will be open to primary, secondary, higher secondary and college students of various disciplines, as well as parents and senior citizens. The fee for the competition is Rs.50/- per person. A QR code and link is provided for registration. This competition will be held in total six groups. The competition for school students will be conducted live (offline) at the selected competition center, only for college students, parents and senior citizens this competition will be online.

School students participating in the competition directly (offline) will be given paper for drawing by ‘Sakal’. Rules of competition, details of competition centers, format of online competition for college students, parents, senior citizens will be published from time to time in daily ‘Sakal’ and will be available on website chitrakala.sakalnie.in. Special opportunity for needy students and disabled students… Students from ashram schools in major cities across the state, students from hostels run by NGOs and special and disabled students can also participate in the competition. This is the 39th year of Suvarnasandhi ‘Sakal’ painting competition for parents and grandparents and it is the only competition that connects three generations. For those who participated in this competition since 1985, but who are now parents or grandparents, this year’s ‘Morning Painting Competition 2023’ is a good event. Parents and grandparents can also participate in this competition.

  1. There is no restriction of specific medium of color literature for any group. Paint the picture with any color.
  2. The result of the competition will be announced in the third or fourth week of May 2024 from ‘Sakaal’.
  3. After that, prize will be distributed to the winning students at the state level in a phased manner.
  4. Correspondence to school students, college youth and parents to participate in the competition
    The fee is Rs.50/-. A QR code and link is provided for registration.
  5. Registration fee Rs.50/- is required to enter the exam hall along with photo ID of the candidate.
  6. Competition for Group A to D will be conducted in offline mode at actual centers, whereas for Group E and F the examination will be conducted in online mode only.
